Dr. Rajeshwar Singh raises the issue of waterlogging and drainage in Lucknow before the CM

Lucknow. On Wednesday, Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh paid a courtesy visit to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and held a detailed discussion on regional development and public concerns. During the meeting, Dr. Singh apprised the Chief Minister about ongoing women and youth empowerment programs, digital education initiatives, and cultural renaissance efforts being undertaken in Sarojini Nagar. He emphasized that these initiatives are playing a vital role in the social and educational advancement of the constituency.

Dr. Singh also drew the Chief Minister’s attention to waterlogging during monsoons, blockage of drains, and poor road conditions in Lucknow, urging a thorough review of the functioning of the Municipal Corporation and Urban Development Department and requesting effective action. The MLA further sought expedited progress on the Lucknow–Kanpur Elevated Highway project and demanded concrete measures to address the difficulties faced by local residents during the construction phase.

Highlighting the significance of the State Capital Region (SCR) initiative under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Dr. Singh remarked that the project would open a new chapter of development not only for Lucknow but also for six adjoining districts. He urged the Chief Minister to convene an SCR Board meeting at the earliest. After the meeting, Dr. Singh posted on social media platform X, stating that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s guidance not only provides a new direction to the development journey but also inspires the realization of people’s aspirations
