An unparalleled example of transforming maternal remembrance into public service – Dr. Rajeshwar Singh’s Ramrath Yatra
Lucknow. The Ramrath Shravan Ayodhya Yatra, initiated by Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh in the memory of his revered mother Late Smt. Tara Singh, has now reached its 47th milestone. This free bus service, led by Dr. Singh, has become a unique example of connecting service and devotion with social welfare in Sarojininagar.
Dr. Singh transformed the memory of his mother beyond emotions, turning it into a mission of public service. As part of this tradition, every fortnight he ensures that the elderly and women from different villages get the opportunity to visit the holy city of Ayodhya Dham.
In this sequence, on Monday, the 47th Yatra was organized, wherein devotees from Gram Panchayat Parwar Paschim were blessed with this divine experience.
*Highlights of the Yatra:*
1. In the morning, the MLA’s team reached the village, welcomed the pilgrims with respect, and presented them with angavastram before boarding the bus.
2. Throughout the journey, Team Rajeshwar’s volunteers remained dedicated to providing food, refreshments, and medical assistance.
3. In Ayodhya, devotees offered prayers at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, Hanumangarhi, Saryu Ghat, and Kanak Bhawan.
4. To ensure comfort for the elderly devotees, arrangements for local travel through battery rickshaws were also made.
5. Every pilgrim was gifted a copy of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita along with prasad and was safely escorted back to their village by the same bus.
*Confluence of Faith and Service:*
For many villagers, Ayodhya Darshan was nothing less than a lifelong dream – this yatra has turned that dream into reality. More than a religious journey, it has become a powerful medium of social harmony, cooperation and unity.
The tears of gratitude in the eyes of the elders and the satisfied smiles on the faces of the women were proof that this yatra is not merely about pilgrimage, but truly a celebration of devotion, service, and collective faith of society.
Through this remarkable initiative, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh has transformed the Ayodhya Yatra into a social-spiritual movement, where faith transcends individual experience and becomes a symbol of collective emotions.
