Lucknow. Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh attended the ‘Bhavishya-e-Uttar Pradesh (Student Parliament – 2025)’ program held at Kala Mandapam, Kaiserbagh on Wednesday as the chief speaker. On this occasion, he inspired hundreds of students from various colleges and universities of Lucknow, saying, “The youth have no caste, no religion; they are a thought, an energy, and a revolution in themselves. Every Indian youth is a Unit of Change, whose energy is the true strength of the nation.”
*India 2047 – The Future Rests on the Shoulders of the Youth:*
Dr. Singh said that India is a young nation, where 65 percent of the population is below the age of 35, and the average age is just 28 years.
He said that the youth are the power that will make India an economic, political, and cultural superpower by 2047.
He added that every generation faces different challenges, and today the greatest challenge is environmental protection. He explained that after industrialization, global temperature has already increased by 1.5°C, and if it rises another 0.5°C, the situation could become catastrophic.
Every year, around 7 lakh people die prematurely due to pollution. He said that this must become a subject of debate and discussion among the youth.
*Learning from History – Unity is Strength:*
Dr. Singh reminded the youth of India’s history and said, “Whenever India was divided, it lost its strength. Ghazni, Ghori, and the Mughals kept winning because they were united, and we were divided. The British were never more than 2 lakh in number, yet they ruled over 30 crore Indians, because they were united and we were fragmented.”
Economic Achievements and Aspirations for 2047:
Dr. Singh said, “When the country became independent, the life expectancy was only 35 years, but our ancestors, through determination and sacrifice, made India the fourth-largest economy in the world. Today, India possesses ₹50 lakh crore in foreign exchange and gold reserves, receives ₹6–7 lakh crore annually in foreign direct investment (FDI), and the per capita income has increased from ₹500 to ₹2 lakh.” He called upon the youth to take the responsibility of progress further, “The youth must strive to take India’s per capita income to ₹50 lakh, GDP to $30 trillion, and literacy rate to 100%, along with quality education.”
*The Era of Digital Warfare – Cyber Security Must Be the Priority:*
Dr. Singh said that today’s era is one of digital wars. Every year, India faces more than 25 lakh cyberattacks, growing at a rate of 200% annually.
“In 2024, India’s largest crypto exchange was hit by a cyberattack, causing a loss of ₹2,000 crore.
Even AIIMS faced a cyberattack,” he stated. He urged the youth to design such programs, codes, and security models that make India digitally secure and technologically self-reliant. “2047 will be the era of Singularity, when the human mind and machines will work together. In that age, India’s youth will be the strength that transforms technology into national service.”
*Gratitude to the Organizers:*
Dr. Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of this visionary event- Abhinav Patel, Somendra Singh, Dipanshu Patel, Shikhar Puri, Aryan Tomar, and Aamir.
