Lucknow. “Sports are not just competitions; they are training for life. They teach discipline, teamwork, cooperation, and self-confidence. When youth step onto the field, they don’t just play to win – they gain the strength to move ahead in every sphere of life.” These were the words of Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, expressed at his Aashiyana residence during the Draw & Fixture Meet of the 8th Phase of the ‘Sarojini Nagar Sports League’ organized under the MP Khel Mahotsav.
On Saturday, during the Draw & Fixture Meet held at the MLA’s residence, the match schedule for the Inter School & Inter Club Football Tournament was finalized. A total of 41 teams – 22 Inter School and 19 Inter Club are participating in this competition. The Grand Inaugural Ceremony of the Football Tournament will be held on 03 November 2025 at 11:00 AM at Jai Jagat Park, Kanpur Road, in the gracious presence of Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Dinesh Sharma.
On this occasion, Dr. Singh drew attention to two major challenges facing the nation first, the rising health-related problems, and second, the growing influence of casteism, regionalism, and linguistic divisions in society.
