Lucknow. Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh prominently placed before the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly the urgent matters of public importance related to his constituency under Rule 51 and Rule 301 during the proceedings of the second and third days of the Winter Session.
*Demand for upgradation of Piparsand Upper Primary School*
On Tuesday, under Rule 51, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh raised the issue of upgrading the Upper Primary School located in Gram Panchayat Piparsand. He stated that due to the absence of a nearby Intermediate College and financial constraints, students’ education is being adversely affected. Therefore, the upgradation of the school is essential to ensure continuity of education and equal opportunities.
*Problems of farmers affected by the Varun Vihar Scheme*
Additionally, on Monday, under Rule 51, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh submitted information regarding farmers of 12 villages of Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency affected by the Lucknow Development Authority’s Varun Vihar Scheme—Bhalliya, Adampur Indrawara, Bahru, Jaliyamau, Madarpur, Naktaura, Gahlwara, Tezkishan Kheda, Rewari, Sakra, Dona and Ibrahimganj. He demanded that these farmers be provided fair compensation (at par with other schemes), partial land-pooling benefits, and basic infrastructure facilities.
*Attention drawn to delays under AMRUT 2.0*
Under Rule 301, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh also drew attention to departmental delays in the implementation of AMRUT 2.0 works in the municipal limit areas, including construction of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), laying of sewer lines, and other development works.
