Vision of Dr. Rajeshwar Singh: No one should feel alone in the cold; 25,000 blankets distributed through a large-scale campaign
Lucknow. Amid biting cold, a new warmth of public service was witnessed in the Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency. On Monday, BJP MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh conducted a large-scale blanket distribution campaign at his residence in Aashiyana. During the campaign, 10,000 blankets were handed over to more than 150 office-bearers and workers from all six mandals, along with eminent members of society, to ensure distribution to the needy across the constituency.
Notably, this extensive campaign is carried out every year during the winter months by MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh. So far this year, more than 25,000 blankets have already been distributed. A key feature of the campaign is the participation not only of party workers but also Tara Shakti Centre coordinators and socially conscious citizens, giving the initiative the character of a public movement. The MLA’s clear resolve is that even the person standing at the last rung of society should not remain alone or helpless in this severe cold.
On this occasion, a Party Office-Bearers and Workers’ Dialogue Programme was also organised, during which the MLA interacted directly with workers, listened to public grievances, and issued necessary directions for their resolution. During the event, meritorious student Pallavi Gautam, a resident of Sareyan, Chandraawal, was also honoured with a laptop. This campaign stands as a symbol of the MLA’s continued commitment to service, compassion and social responsibility in Sarojini Nagar.
