Yogi Model of Governance Transforms Sarojini Nagar into a Green Mobility and Make in India Hub: Dr. Rajeshwar Singh

Lucknow On Friday, the grand inauguration of Uttar Pradesh’s first electric bus manufacturing facility by Ashok Leyland took place in the Sarojini Nagar Assembly constituency. The state-of-the-art EV bus plant was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

On this occasion, Sarojini Nagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that the establishment of the state’s first electric bus factory in Sarojini Nagar marks a decisive moment in Uttar Pradesh’s industrial history. He said that this achievement would not have been possible without the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership, strong political will, and investor-friendly policies.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh noted that a state once known for industrial migration has today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emerged as a national center for green mobility, high-tech manufacturing, and the Make in India initiative. The Ashok Leyland EV bus factory established in Sarojini Nagar stands as a vivid example of this transformation, for which he conveyed his special thanks to the Chief Minister.

The MLA said that the plant, established with an investment exceeding ₹1,000 crore, is not merely an industrial unit but a powerful symbol of the Yogi government’s “Development + Environment + Employment” model. With an initial annual production capacity of 2,500 electric buses and a planned expansion to 5,000 buses in the future, the project clearly demonstrates that under CM Yogi’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh has moved beyond consumption to become a hub of production and export.

Dr. Rajeshwar Singh expressed appreciation for the swift decision-making, transparent administration, investment security, and enterprise-friendly policies implemented by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that these factors have instilled confidence among global companies to invest in Uttar Pradesh. Policies such as the 75 percent front-end land subsidy prove that the Yogi government not only invites industries but also ensures their long-term establishment.

He particularly highlighted that the establishment of this advanced plant on the 70-acre land of the former Scooter India facility in Sarojini Nagar exemplifies the Chief Minister’s vision of transforming “dead assets into dynamic assets.” This initiative has generated more than 1,000 direct jobs and created thousands of indirect and self-employment opportunities for youth.

The MLA stated that this project will pave the way for clean transportation, reduced carbon emissions, and technology-driven employment for future generations. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh will soon become the engine of India’s EV revolution.

In conclusion, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh once again expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stating that this factory is not merely an achievement of the present but the foundation stone of a bright future for Uttar Pradesh shaped by Yogi Ji’s vision—where development, environmental conservation, and self-reliance progress together.
