AI education can position Uttar Pradesh as a leading technology and innovation hub: MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh
*Lucknow|* Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh has written to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji, urging the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital literacy and cyber security education in schools across Uttar Pradesh to prepare students for the rapidly evolving technological era.
*AI Revolution Transforming the Global Economy*
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh noted that Artificial Intelligence could contribute over $15 trillion to the global economy by 2030. He also referred to Accenture CEO Julie Sweet’s statement that future promotions and career growth will increasingly depend on employees’ ability to use AI tools effectively, highlighting the need for early AI education.
*MLA Proposes “UP AI & Digital Education Mission”*
The MLA has proposed launching a “UP AI & Digital Education Mission” to expand AI learning in schools through:
• AI and coding education from Class 6 onwards
• AI and digital innovation labs in schools
• Teacher training with institutions like IIT Kanpur
• Industry partnerships with technology companies
*Cyber Security Awareness Must Be Part of School Curriculum*
Highlighting rising cyber threats, Dr. Singh referred to the recent cyberattack on Stryker Corporation allegedly by the hacking group Handala Hackers and stressed the need to teach students cyber safety, data protection and responsible digital behaviour.
*AI Education Will Strengthen Innovation and Future Jobs*
Dr. Rajeshwar Singh stated that expanding AI education will help prepare youth for future jobs, strengthen cyber awareness, promote innovation and position Uttar Pradesh as a technology and AI hub.
