Guiding the Youth: Active Politics Can Change Policy and Strengthen India

Lucknow BJP MLA from Sarojini Nagar, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh, on Sunday released an important message for the youth of the nation through social media. In this message, he urged young citizens to actively participate in politics and offered practical guidance to help secure their future.

Summarizing his message, Dr. Singh stated, “If the youth stay away from politics, politics will move away from the future of the youth.” He clarified that politics is not merely about power; it is the core decision-making arena for education, employment, technology, environment, law, and opportunities—decisions that will shape the next 30–40 years of young people’s lives.

*Why Youth Participation in Politics Is Necessary:*

The MLA emphasized the following points:
* Decisions directly affecting the youth—education, jobs, artificial intelligence (AI), startups, and urban development—are made through politics.
* Politics never remains vacant; if capable and conscious citizens step back, opportunistic forces will fill the space.
* India is the world’s youngest nation, and in a democracy, numerical strength is real power.
* Social media activism is not a substitute for politics; real change comes through the Constitution, laws, and budgets.

*Steps for Youth to Secure Their Future:*

Dr. Singh advised the youth to become future-ready by:
* Developing multi-disciplinary skills, especially in AI, technology, and green skills, and adopting lifelong learning.
* Gaining a deep understanding of the Constitution and laws, knowing their rights and duties, and respecting institutions.
* Voting, questioning leaders, and ensuring accountability.
* Engaging at the grassroots level through student unions, social organizations, and local bodies.
* Forming reasoned opinions and staying away from fake news.
* Focusing on physical and mental health through sports, fitness, and staying clear of substance abuse.

*A Clear Warning to Youth:*
The MLA cautioned young people against caste-based politics, false promises, divisive debates, and leaders who think only about the next election without long-term vision. He said, “When youth get trapped in caste, lies, and illusions, someone else writes their future.”

Concluding with a powerful message, Dr. Rajeshwar Singh said, “Staying away from politics is not neutrality—it is handing over your future to others. When youth awaken, policies will change and India will become stronger.” He urged the youth to choose foresight and the path of development for a stronger nation.
