Lucknow . Sarojini Nagar MLA Dr Rajeshwar Singh met Om Birla Ji, Speaker of the Lok Sabha, at Raj Bhavan, Lucknow, on Tuesday. The meeting took place while the Lok Sabha Speaker was in the city to participate in the 86th All India Presiding Officers’ Conference (AIPOC).
Sharing details of the meeting, Dr Rajeshwar Singh wrote on social media platform ‘X’ that under Om Birla Ji’s leadership, the Lok Sabha has established new milestones in legislative productivity. Efficient time management of the House, swift and well-structured passage of Bills, and depth and balance in parliamentary debates are clear indicators of his inclusive, rule-based, and result-oriented leadership.
Dr Singh further noted that during the Speaker’s tenure, the vision of a Digital Parliament has been effectively realized. Transformative initiatives such as e-Parliament, a paperless working system, AI-enabled multilingual translation, real-time transcription, and integrated digital databases have been implemented, making Parliament more transparent, inclusive, accessible, and accountable.
Praising Om Birla Ji further, Dr Singh added that his profound parliamentary knowledge, unwavering ethical standards, steadfast commitment to democratic values, and resolute dedication to national interest serve as a source of inspiration for every Member of Parliament and citizen alike. Concluding, Dr Rajeshwar Singh expressed his hope that under Om Birla Ji’s leadership, the Lok Sabha will continue to scale new heights of democratic values, legislative excellence, and institutional credibility, thereby further strengthening Indian democracy.
