Lucknow: Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh welcomed the Uttar Pradesh Government’s initiative to expand digital libraries across Gram Panchayats, calling it a significant step towards strengthening rural education.

Dr. Singh said that the Digital Shiksha Abhiyan was launched in Sarojininagar on July 25, 2022. Under the initiative, 450+ computers were provided across 37 schools and colleges, benefiting more than 30,000 students. Digital libraries and smart classrooms were also developed to provide modern learning opportunities.

He said it is encouraging to see this vision now expanding across Uttar Pradesh, with digital libraries reaching 113 Gram Panchayats and plans to cover 223. The initiative will bring books, digital resources and IT facilities closer to rural students.

Dr. Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji for taking this vision forward across the state, saying that his leadership is ensuring that the benefits of modern education reach the villages of Uttar Pradesh.
